DJ Tim Westwood – Police Officially Investigating Sexual Offense Allegations Dating Back To 1980s As He Faces At Least A Dozen Complaints
Tim Westwood may not be returning the DJ booth any time soon.
Currently, the British DJ is the subject of an investigation by the Metropolitan police’s central specialist crime unit into four alleged sexual offenses he allegedly committed in London during the years of 1982, 1985, 2010 and 2016.
According to a statement from Scotland Yard, which is the headquarters of Metropolitan police,
“Detectives from the Met’s Central Specialist Crime continue to investigate four reports relating to allegations of non-recent sexual offences allegedly committed by a man. The offences are alleged to have occurred in London in 1982, 1985, 2010 and 2016. There have been no arrests, inquiries continue.”
There have been at least a dozen complaints of sexual assault against Tim Westwood. In one instance, three women claim the 64-year-old initiated unwanted sex and four more claim he touched their buttocks or breasts while they were at events. All seven of the women are Black. At the time, one of the women was only 19 and Westwood was 53.
He has also been accused of having sex with a 14-year-old girl while he was in his 30s.
A spokesperson for Westwood previously said,
“Tim Westwood strongly denies all allegations of inappropriate behavior… In a career that has spanned 40 years, there have never been any complaints made against him officially or unofficially. Tim Westwood strongly rejects all allegations of wrongdoing.”
