The ten matte lipsticks each have a liner that matches their shade which is super handy if you like to go to the full effort when it comes to a lip look.
I have tested the liners and lipsticks, and using the liner under the lip colour is definitely the way to go if you want something super super long lasting.
The liners have a creamy texture and come in a waterproof formula. It applies effortlessly and the matches with the lip colours are excellent.

I love that the pencils have a twist up (and down – yay) mechanic and each one comes with its own little sharpener to keep the nib as sharp as you need it to be.

The formula for both the liner and the matte lipstick is really lovely and they both glide on smoothly without tugging or pulling at the skin. The finish of the lipstick looks flawless and although the formula is matte, there’s a good amount of velvety radiance in the payoff.
I haven’t had a proper chance to wear test any of the shades yet but I can tell from the swatches that it is a good long-wear, high performance formula. The liners are especially long-lasting, thanks to their waterproof formulation.
I love the liner format and I think these will be a huge hit. It’s a soft and creamy texture and you can twist the colour both up and down, and there’s a small sharpener in the base, so you will never be hunting round for a classic sharpener to keep your liner in shape.
I also really like the shade range – Creative, Talented Humble and Lively are instant favourites. I must confess though, I am surprised not to see a true red in the line up. Maybe they are saving that launch for Christmas??!
