50 Cent Speaks On His Strained Relationship w/ His Son, Claims He Wants Attention & Doesn’t Really Want To Rekindle Their Relationship: You Would Call me, You Don’t Call TMZ

It looks like 50 Cent is apprehensive about meeting up with his estranged son.

During a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, 50 Cent was asked about his estranged son’s, Marquise Jackson, recent interview where he stated that he wants to meet with his father in hopes of reconciling their broken relationship. The rapper-turned-business-mogul quickly interjected and said,

“No he doesn’t…See, Charlamagne, you would call me. You don’t call TMZ to say you want to sit down. Think about it, man. You know, he wants some attention, and it’s okay he can have as much of that as he wants.”

50 Cent suggested that Marquise has been “trained” to believe what he said in his recent TMZ interview “for a long time.”

“You don’t just wake up and say, ‘Oh well I don’t believe what I’ve been believing forever.”

He then expressed his frustration with his son’s mother and accused her of not managing her money properly.

“When I said that he’s entitled, really it’s his Mom’s entitlement but it’s been filtered. I told you I was giving her half a million dollars a year, they go through the paperwork they see half a million dollars a year. At that point, she still was expecting more. This is why I took her to child support. You don’t usually sign up for child support, like, I took myself to child support. Because she wasn’t understanding that I’m already giving you more than you’re supposed to get…It’s never going to be enough.”

The ‘In Da Club’ rapper added,

“I don’t feel the pressure or resentment that men feel with child support because I take care of it when the problems happen.”

When co-host Angela Yee made a comparison between Marquise and the main character in 50 Cent’s hit series Power Book III: Raising Kanan, the TV producer agreed.

“It’s really like him, the kid has been sheltered. If you mailed someone a million dollars, right, and [they] have zero respect for you, how much you think you got to give them before they have a little bit?”

As previously reported, Marquise Jackson recently took to Instagram Live with entrepreneur and former rapper Choke No Joke to express his frustrations about his father and his child support payments. According to him, the $6,700 a month he received from 50 Cent wasn’t enough to stay protected as the child of a famous person or live comfortably in NYC.

“You’re talking about a Forbes lister, you’re talking about someone that has problems with everybody, you can’t just live in any neighborhood, $81,000 is not a substantial amount of money. You can’t just live anywhere. You talking about you got beef with everybody in the industry, you can’t just live anywhere.”

He added,

“I know what it feels like to have nothing, alright. I jumped out of a burning house. I had nothing. I had to rebuild my life over with $6700 a month.”

In a separate interview, he later expressed that he is more than willing to have a chat with his estranged father and see if they can come to some sort of understanding and truce.

“I don’t even know if a sit-down can restore the situation. It’s more so, it’s an olive branch. If you up for it, I’m up for it. I’m definitely willing to sit down with him so I can hear his perspective and gain a little bit understanding. I mean, we’re both men at the end of the day, we should be able to agree and disagree and it not be a problem.”
