Cardi B Claps Back At UFC Star Jake Shields For Dragging Her Name While Defending Andrew Tate

Cardi B doesn’t know why she’s in it, but she defended herself against a UFC star on Twitter over the weekend.

Cardi B’s name was brought up on Twitter by UFC fighter Jake Shields as he was defending right-wing influencer and former reality star Andrew Tate. On Friday, Tate was banned by the company Meta from using any of their platforms, primarily Facebook and Instagram. He was banned due to violations of Meta’s policies on “dangerous organizations and individuals.”

Tate’s following grew throughout the last six years after competing on Big Brother in 2016. He was kicked off the show after a video of him beating a woman surfaced online. He has since been vocal about controversial topics on social media, one time claiming that rape victims “bear responsibility” for their attacks. He was banned from Twitter for this statement.

He was also a vocal Donald Trump supporter, and has appeared right-wing media like InfoWars numerous times.

After the banning of Andrew Tate was announced by Meta, Jake Shields fired off a series of tweets condemning the bans and comparing him to other popular figures, including Cardi B.

Shields compared young boys looking up to Andrew Tate with young girls looking with to Cardi B and the Kardashians. He also added:

“Tate’s main message is stop being lazy and making excuses and go work hard and get in shape and make money. Cardi’s is go do drugs, fuck random men, and go through life as a brain dead moron.”

Cardi B later clapped back and defended herself, stating she doesn’t do any drugs and that she’s a married mom of two in a now-deleted tweet:

“I’m married, I don’t smoke weed, I don’t pop pills, I don’t do coke, I’m a mom of 2 kids and I do a lot of charity work.. but hey let me put cardi into it to defend a man who defend misogyny and rape”

Cardi B shares two children, four-year-old Kulture and 11-month-old Wave  with husband Offset.
