Ever since Ariana Grande launched her makeup and skincare brand, r.e.m. beauty we’ve been eagerly awaiting a concealer. But the Positions singer was adamant she a) wanted to release her makeup drops in conscious, curated chapters and b) wanted to ensure any formulations were pitch perfect before introducing them to the Arianators.

Now, she’s not only given fans what they wanted, but she’s made sure that every single person has a colour that fits their skin tone, with a whopper line-up of 60 concealer shades.

Chapter 4: out of body, could not have been better timed, because alongside the much-awaited concealer, there’s also a blender to next-level our application, a primer to help lock our makeup into place for summer and beyond and a blotting papers which would be real useful right about now. There’s one snag, you’ll have to wait until 28th July to get your hands on them, but with Ari’s impending launch into Selfridges in the UK (online and in store) from 8th August, it should be easier to access, or even swatch, next time you’re in the city.

Here’s everything we know about r.e.m. beauty Chapter 4’s newest recruits…

Sweetener Concealer

A skincare-makeup hybrid, the Sweetener Concealer is supercharged with the r.e.m. hydrasmooth essence, which contains raspberry stem cells, vitamin E, hyaluronic acid and ashwaganda. It’s designed to nourish and protect skin at the same time as it blends away blemishes, dark spots and redness. The coverage is soft matte, medium-to-buildable and designed to feel lightweight on skin. Plus it comes in a pot format (which is Ari’s fave concealer setup). The best bit? It comes in an outstanding range 60 shades, which also include two artistry shades: black and white so you can blend bespoke shades even further.

And because, being in the industry, Ariana has all of the tricks of the trade, the r.e.m. beauty fact sheet also shares all the “sweet tips” you’d want to know to find the best concealer shades for all-over, brightening, contouring or correcting, as well as a few pointers for raising your makeup game.
