Which shade should you choose?

Sisley say that each shade has been designed to corresponds to a shade of Sisley foundation. So, if you normally use a 2N or 2W foundation, you can go with Stylo Correct no. 2.

HOWEVER….

For me, my current Sisley Foundation is Phyto-Nude (see the review here). I use shade 2W1 in that, so according to Sisley I should be a 2. I don’t have the 2 to try, however, I actually really like to use shade 0 for correcting. It has a nice peachy tone that’s great for knocking out pigmentation and darkness on my skin tone.

My Review

Sisley Paris Stylo Correct Concealer

I really love the creamy texture of this concealer. It applies effortlessly straight from the stick and blends out easily.

To get full coverage on hyperpigmentation, I draw the concealer over the dark spot or blemish to completely cover it, then I simply gently blend around the edges with the sponge tip and let it set. I don’t blend over the top as this tends to sheer it out a little.

To cover redness, I just draw a few lines and then blend across the whole area with my fingers. This gives a sheerer finish but perfectly offsets high colour.

For me, this is the perfect product to use when I am not using foundation. You can apply it very precisely to the areas that you wish to correct to completely even out skin tone without looking like you’re wearing any makeup.

I think it’s also great for touch ups on the go when any dark spots or blemishes are starting show through. You can quickly and easily get them back in check without disturbing any of your makeup.

It delivers a soft matte finish, which I really like on bare skin. If you are looking for a more luminous concealer to brighten and wear over foundation, I highly recommend the Sisley Paris Stylo Lumiere, which is glowy skin perfection.

If you don’t have that much to cover then this might not be for you. However, I think this will be particularly suited to spot-prone skin as it contains Benzoic Acid to work on blemishes and also Kaolin which will help to tackle excess oiliness.

Even with the inclusion of Kaolin, I don’t find it drying at all. In fact, there is Sodium Hyaluronate in there, a form of Hyaluronic Acid, which keeps skin nice and hydrated.
