Kevin Smith’s Masters of the Universe: Revelation was a successor to the original 1980s series and focused on some of the show’s unresolved storylines. During Netflix’s Geeked Week event, the streaming service announced that we’ll be returning to Eternia with a follow-up series, Masters of the Universe: Revolution.

Coming from Mattel Television and Powerhouse Animation, Masters of the Universe: Revolution will pick up where Masters of the Universe: Revelation left off as it finds He-Man and Skeletor facing off as you’ve never seen them before. Mark Hamill already teased his involvement in the new season earlier this year when he tweeted that he was back in the studio recording Skeletor voice-overs.

The first five episodes of Masters of the Universe: Revelation were released on Netflix last July, with the remaining five following suit in November. The series picked up where the original left off decades ago. After a cataclysmic battle between He-Man and Skeletor, Eternia is fractured and the Guardians of Grayskull are scattered. And after decades of secrets tore them apart, it’s up to Teela to reunite the broken band of heroes and solve the mystery of the missing Sword of Power in a race against time to restore Eternia and prevent the end of the universe.
Masters of the Universe: Revolution isn’t the only He-Man project being cooked up at Netflix. The streaming service is also developing a live-action Masters of the Universe movie with Kyle Allen (West Side Story) set to star. Adam and Aaron Nee (The Lost City) will direct from a screenplay they co-wrote with David Callaham (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings). Were you a fan of Masters of the Universe: Revelation and are you looking forward to Masters of the Universe: Revolution?
