The competition on American Song Contest is certainly heating up.
The show’s fourth batch of talented artists took to the stage to represent their states during the April 11 episode, each hoping to make it through to the next round of competition.
Week three contestant and Tennessee native Tyler Braden earned last week’s jury vote with “nostalgic” country ballad “Seventeen,” sending him through to the April 25 semi-finals with fellow jury vote winners Rhode Island’s Hueston and Kentucky representative and former The Voice winner Jordan Smith.
Earning the jury’s vote for week four was Washington’s Allen Stone—a Macklemore and Ryan Lewis collaborator—who wowed the 56-member jury with his original song “A Bit of Both.”
With a handful of contestants now headed through to the semi-finals, hosts Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg revealed which of the week two’s remaining contestants would live to sing another day.
Sitting at the top of last week’s leaderboard were Florida singer Ale Zabala, Alabama duo NiCo and Texas representative Grant Knoche, leaving Grammy nominee Jewel in ninth place and R5 band member Riker Lynch in fifth place. But who were the acts fans chose to save and send through to the semi-finals?
